NBC Universal wants to move production of “The Jerry Springer Show” and two other daily talk shows to Stamford, sources close to the negotiations said today.

The studio, a unit of Fairfield-based General Electric, is negotiating a deal with Connecticut officials to set up a large television production studio at the Rich Forum Theater that would employ between 150 and 200 people, Gov. M. Jodi Rell confirmed today.

Sources said NBC also wants to move production of “Maury” and “The Steve Wilkos Show” to Stamford.

NBC wants to take advantage of Connecticut’s 30 percent film tax credit, according to a statement from Rell’s office that quotes Barry Wallach, President of NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.
