New York’s two big all-newsers are 1-2 in the 2009 revenue rankings.
The big music stations like AC “Lite” WLTW (106.7) that have occasionally led the parade dropped back in rank in the latest Miller Kaplan numbers reported by Crain’s New York Business. WLTW repeats in fourth place, while CHR Z100/WHTZ slips to third. For now, WCBS (880) and “1010 WINS” are the revenue champs. No doubt WCBS can thank the play-by-play of the World Champion New York Yankees for part of that exalted status.
