Why Apple Really Wanted Lala

Did Apple buy Lala in order to beat Amazon (and others) by setting up a cloud-based subscription service? Not according to this guest post on TechCrunch by Michael Robertson.

Robertson explains why he thinks Lala is critical to Apple’s future, why Apple’s move must include music already owned by iTunes users and why they bought an existing company rather inventing things themselves.
